Beach Rose Pictures
If you ever travel to New England and visit the ocean, you will see lots of these wild beach roses.
I've seen the roses in pink and white.
Here's a little information about Beach Roses.
Their formal name is Rosa Rugosa. Rosa Rugosa's grow very densely, and get about 4 to 6 feet high.
They sure do have the thorns too. They grow all over here in New England, and you don't want to run into a patch of them, because the stickers don't want to let go.

But they say that the Rugosa is best for sandy areas and is easily hedged. The leaves are bright green and they bloom from Spring to Summer. Originally they are from Japan, Korea and Northern China. The roses are about 4 inches across.

This bottom picture I was thinking it was a Pink Beach rose, but now I am wondering if it is the violet.
Also see a picture when it is still a rosebud.
